EPIC Health Partners’ Addiction Recovery and Treatment Services (ARTS) is an outpatient based program that is focused on the reduction of moderate to severe substance use. It utilizes evidence-based interventions with a focus on wellness, recovery, and resiliency. The program is designed to increase knowledge on substances while introducing coping skills and increasing linkage with local community resources.
The Addiction Recovery Treatment Services (ARTS) division offers quality Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) and Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) treatment, to include co-occurring services to adults 18 years and older. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment services are specifically developed to meet an individual's substance use treatment need. Services are provided with the intent of enabling the individual to receive appropriate intervention in the least restrictive environment and obtain a lifestyle free from drugs and alcohol.
Our program includes individual, family, and group counseling and links active participants with our agency psychiatrist. Our program partners with local community resources to ensure all providers are effectively coordinating care. Our program provides services that focus on topics such as women and trauma, anger management, family support groups, and increasing motivation for recovery to name a few. Specific interventions include psychoeducation regarding substance use disorders, integration of coping skills to reduce usage, and intensive therapy to address any co-occurring mental health disorders.
To qualify for any of the following ARTS services: SUD Case Management, SUD Outpatient, SUD Intensive Outpatient, or SUD Partial Hospitalization, the individual must be diagnosed with at least one substance use disorder, excluding tobacco, caffeine and/or non-substance related addictive disorders. We accept all Virginia Medicaids and some commercial insurances. We also accept self-pay.
Referral sources for the ARTS program include managed care organizations, community partners, self-referral, physicians’ offices, family, friends, other behavioral health agencies, the Department of Social Services, EPIC internal programs, Office of Children’s’ Services (CSA), and the Department of Corrections.
