EPIC Health Partners provides outpatient therapy services to children, adolescents, and families. The purpose of these counseling services is to assist individuals in clarifying and accomplishing their personal goals through a process designed to help them discover their strengths, explore their options, and develop effective strategies to address challenges in their lives.

Therapy sessions are provided via telehealth or at one of our locations with a licensed mental health professional (LPC or LCSW) or a license-eligible mental health professional under the direct clinical supervision of an LMHP. Sessions can be held weekly, biweekly, or monthly as determined by you and your therapist.

In order to participate in outpatient therapy, you must have been diagnosed with a psychiatric disorder, or exhibit signs and symptoms indicating the presence of a psychiatric disorder, as defined by DSM-V criteria. Outpatient therapy is covered by Virginia Medicaid, most commercial insurances, or self-pay.

Referral sources for our outpatient therapy services include managed care organizations, community partners, self-referral, physicians’ offices, family, friends, other behavioral health agencies, schools, the Department of Social Services, foster care agencies, EPIC internal programs, and the Office of Children’s’ Services (CSA).
