Comprehensive Crisis Services for Children

What Are Comprehensive Crisis Services for Children
Comprehensive Crisis Services for Children at Epic Health Partners provide immediate, on-site intervention for youth experiencing emotional or behavioral health crises that cannot be safely managed at home, school, or in the community.
Delivered by trained mobile crisis teams, these services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and are designed to stabilize the child, support the family, and prevent unnecessary hospitalization, arrest, or out-of-home placement.
When a situation reaches a breaking point, Epic responds quickly, clinically, and compassionately — right where the child is.
Why Families and Providers Trust Epic in Crisis
Immediate On-Site Response
Our mobile teams respond directly to homes, schools, or community locations to assess risk, de-escalate behavior, and create a safety plan — often within hours of the referral.
Clinically Trained, Trauma-Informed Teams
Every crisis responder is trained in child development, trauma de-escalation, and emergency mental health intervention. We help children feel safe and understood, even in their most dysregulated state.
Prevents Hospitalization or Law Enforcement Involvement
By intervening early, we help reduce the need for psychiatric admissions, juvenile detention, or emergency room visits — keeping families intact and children in the least restrictive setting possible.
Coordinates Follow-Up Care
Crisis services are never the end of the road. We immediately connect children to longer-term supports through Epic, such as outpatient therapy, in-home services, or psychiatric evaluation.
