Veronica joined the Epic team in 2021. She presents with over 27 years of clinical experience serving as a subject matter expert on Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder issues, developing programs, and overseeing the ongoing development and training of clinicians via improved clinical healthcare competencies. Veronica is responsible for the planning, directing, and managing the overall operations and growth of the organization’s behavioral health and substance use services. Veronica has extensive experience with Federal Government Drug Courts and has held various leadership positions for several Community Services Boards in Virginia.  Veronica earned a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a concentration in Substance Abuse and Mental Health.

Veronica is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor for the state of Virginia and a Master Addiction Counselor.  Veronica has worked with adolescents and adults from a wide variety of cultural backgrounds with a broad range of needs. Veronica has extensive experience in providing substance use and mental health services to the community and the criminal justice population. She is a native of New Mexico and can provide services in Spanish.
