Christy Mayes

Christy Mayes has been offering mental health and drug use services in the community for more than ten years. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor with the Virginia Board of Counseling. She is fervently committed to providing recovery-oriented treatment and high-quality assistance to those in need.

In 2013, Christy graduated from Liberty University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in crisis counseling. She also earned a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty in 2015. Christy has gained expertise and specific training in several fields, such as crisis intervention, medication-assisted substance use treatment, trauma-informed care, and leadership. She currently works with Epic Health Partners in Danville as the Director of Addiction and Recovery Treatment Services.
