Hospitalization Program (SUD-PHP)
The Substance Use Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides intensive and structured care for individuals who DO NOT require a higher level of care, such as residential, but who need daily (or near daily) monitoring or management of their substance-related disorders. Partial hospitalization focuses on the overall treatment of the individual and is intended to avert or reduce in-patient hospitalization. The goal of PHP is to help individuals rebuild their lives by providing them with access to a wide range of therapeutic activities and interventions that can aid in recovery.
Eligibility | Services |
---|---|
Adults aged 18 years and older | PHP operates five days per week, five hours every day (10am- 3pm). |
Must have a Substance Use or Alcohol Use Disorder Diagnosis | Typical stay in PHP is 14 days; PHP continuations requested as needed. |
Must not need a higher level of care (i.e. residential treatment). | An individual will be able to live at home while participating in the program. If homeless, Epic may be able to assist with a temporary housing resource. |
Must need daily or near daily management of their substance use disorder(s). | Light morning snacks and lunch are provided daily. Transportation provided as needed. |
Must agree to fully participate in the entirety of the program. | Medicaid funded; commercial insurance and Medicare must have prior approval |
Ideal transition service for those individuals completing residential treatment | PHP provides professional clinical services that include psychiatric care, individual, group and family counseling, individual training, and education. medication assisted treatment, occupational, and recreational therapy, and other therapies as needed. |
